Hi, thanks for visiting our site.

PineRidge was founded here in Meadow Lake in 1993 after a few years of no Ford dealership in town.  My partner Larry Moeller had come home to Meadow Lake to visit his family and saw an opportunity to open a dealership.  A few years had gone by since there was a Ford dealership in town and no one had yet stepped up to make one happen.  Larry partnered with Bill Griffiths, built a new building and started PineRidge in the fall of 1993.

Bill was the managing partner for 8 years until he retired.  Nearly three years went by, with various managers before I came along.  My name is Kirt Prete and I became the managing partner at the end of 2003.  I was managing a very large Ford dealership in Alberta, when I decided it was time to realize a boyhood dream.  While growing up on the farm in Saskatchewan, from the age of about 5 I dreamed of owning a Ford dealership or being a police officer, I was too fat to be a police officer so I was forced to get into the car business!

My wife and I have four children and we knew deep down that we did not want to live in the city to raise our family. (it is hard to keep a Saskatchewan farm boy in a cement jungle) Anyway to make a long story short, we were very pleased to discover that was going to be possible for me to realize the boyhood dream and live in a place that suited our ideals for raising our family.  Let it suffice to say that my family and I are thrilled to be here.

I believe that all of the staff here feel the same way.  Everyone is happy to come to work, and even though there are sometimes difficult things for us to overcome, we have fun and go home at the end of the day knowing that there is no reason why we won't have a good day again tomorrow!

I always believed that when I had my own car dealership that I would approach business a little different than the majority of dealers.  I still believe that the majority of the population would prefer to buy a vehicle without all the gimmicks and "too good to be true" offers that dealerships use to entice people to come and buy.  I am happy to say that it is working as we are getting customers from all over Western Canada.
